1. We’re glad to have you back on Turbo for another round. What have you been up to lately?
I’m just back from India was djing in Mumbai for AVA festival and had a blast. Been finishing a lot of music recently, and just working hard as usual in the studio.
2. Can you tell us a little bit about your production process? What’s your studio workflow like?
I generally like to just make lots of ideas then decide whats worth spending the extra time to really zoom in on and really finish. I love using outboard more and more I really buzz off it and enjoy the hands on breaking a sweat in the studio.
3. What inspired this particular set of tunes?
Ive been holding back on all my music and I released very little last year. I think too many people are releasing too many average tracks.
I just want to get a bit of quality control on it. Ive about 30 club tracks finished that I like but will probably never get released. I like to let things sit around for months or even years just to test if they still sound good. these tracks on the EP were selected from a large folder of music and some how worked together.
4. What’s the most exciting thing in dance music for you right now?
I love watching shit music crash and burn all the time, if you stick to your guns and play real music you might not get rich but you just might stay in the game a lot longer. Loads of amazing music coming all the time and that inspires me.
5. What else do you have in the pipeline this year?
All I can say for now is I have a release coming on ULTRAMAJIC in April.
