Twin Turbo keeps it Canadian with this world-banging release from Toronto DJ/producer John Roman.
By the age of 21, John Roman’s early output had earned him support from the likes of Laidback Luke, Brodinski, Riton, Roska and Sinden. He’s since spent a couple of long winters at work in the studio, taking the time to develop his sound. Now, his career is set to take off with big remixes for Crookers, Harvard Bass, Modek and Proxy dropping in the coming months, as well as a 10-part free EP series called REVISIONS starting July 23rd.
The three tracks on this EP are all huge, but “Petrified” is an absolute peak-time bomb, with its rave diva vocal hooks and ultra-massive builds garnering special praise from Pitchfork following its inclusion on Brodinski’s recent Fabric mix. “St. Hood” is a thunderous, clap-driven bass anthem, while “Chimaera” conjures mythical winged-warehouse animals that swoop down and snatch low-energy dancers off the floor forever.
Twin Turbo – bringing the biggest digital bombs to your laptops, pendrives and precious mobile devices since time immemorial (c. 2011).
