Twin Turbo
When presented with a young talent with his whole life and a brilliant career ahead of him, we at Twin Turbo feel the only morally acceptable thing to do is to get out of the way and minimize the risk of the least important promotional arm of the music business hindering the otherwise inevitable upswell of positive energy and unmitigated success that lay ahead. The identity of Belgian mystery man Beton is a complete mystery to us. What we do know is that Twin Turbo owner/assistant webmaster Tiga has called this record the best release of the past five years. You might think we would get some kind of discount, but that is simply not the case. More
Mystery is such an important part of music. It’s why only the handsomest male DJs declined to wear a mask between 2012 and 2015. When we work with an artist for the first time at Turbo, we are immediately torn between wanting to know everything about them and letting our childlike imaginations fill in the blanks.
Toronto’s finest Carlo Lio is a debutant on Twin Turbo this month, featuring a raucous mind-warping two tracker in club-ready weapons ‘Psychout’ and ‘All She Wants’. We had the pleasure of catching up with Canadian producer to get his insight into the release and an update on this Summer season so far… More
